Exodus 12: The Tenth Plague
Every chapter of the Bible—1189 in all—deserves our meditations. Some deserve more than others. This tenth plague, the death of the firstborn, the plague that ties in repeatedly with the truth that Christ is our Passover (1 Corinthians 5)—this plague is the basis of so many things that should move our minds to meditate. God freed—created a nation—through this event. He created a nation when the New Testament Lamb was offered, too. He defeated the enemy, He provided innocent blood for enslaved individuals, He gave detailed commandments that made freedom possible, and he made the urgency of it all very obvious. There is much more. Read Exodus 12 and look for it.
