Exodus 22: Every Day Life Is About Being Holy

In the last verse of this chapter of more ordinances, Jehovah said, “Ye shall be holy men unto me.” Being pleasing to God means being holy, and being holy includes how we think, speak, and live in our everyday lives. God had redeemed them so they could be and would choose to be “an holy nation” (19:6). The same is true of the churches of Christ today (1 Peter 2:5-9). Interestingly, Peter fills his letter with ordinances for holy living in everyday life!
