Genesis 31: Are You Listening?

God has always wanted men, women, boys and girls to know His will and live according to it. It seems that most of the time we just are not listening. Laban, Jacob’s father-in-law, knew he could hurt Jacob. But when he mentioned this to Jacob, he also said that God had told him to not even speak incorrectly to Jacob. Even though he had been unfair to Jacob all along, he listened this time—resulting in a covenant between the two men. Wisdom would encourage us to make pacts of peace today, too
