Exodus 19: I Bare You on Eagle's Wings
Figurative language is often used in literature to make points in beautiful and simple ways. Our Heavenly Father allowed Himself to be compared to many things in order to let us see what He is really like. “Wings”—eagles’ wings—are used here to show how God redeemed Israel from Egypt. God’s redemption is always a lofty thing, a great moment, and it has spectacular views. Think of the wonders of God’s personality in redemption as you read this chapter.
