Genesis 45: I Am Joseph!

The thing we have been wanting—a happy reunion—is the thing that finally happens here. The happiness is possible because the brothers had changed, Joseph has forgiven, God has not changed, and everyone is still alive. Such happy reunions are needed all over the place today. They can be prevented by stubbornness, bitterness, waiting too long, and missing the point of God’s providential talents! “And Israel said, It is enough; Joseph my son is yet alive: I will go and see him before I die” (verse 28).
