Genesis 21: Sarah--Sarah

The first Sarah in this chapter is the one who receives the promised blessing from God, has a child, and gives the credit to God. After some time passes, the second Sarah enters and demands that Hagar and Ishmael be “cast out.” It was her fault—her lack of faith—that this situation existed. However, God entered the story, assuring Abraham that He would take care of the boy Ishmael and his mother.
